CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Focuses on the student’s final portfolio for graduation. Requires collection and organization of all engineering technology course work into a portfolio, with overview documentation relating different disciplines and tying the coursework together. Creation of overview and synthesis is major emphasis of class with the portfolio as the base document. Every student must submit a copy of the final portfolio for departmental archives upon graduation.

MAJOR COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:

1.Develop an outline or abstract of the overview, with table of contents, body and conclusion or summary.

2.Produce an integrated portfolio with comments and overview tying together: a.Computer applications in Engineering Technology. b.Electricity and electronics. c.Mechanical/materials science. d.Engineering technology as a profession. e.Technical communications.

3.Analyze and define the relationship of personal values and goals to work ethic both in and out of the workplace.

4.Develop a portfolio through use of PDF documentation.
